Porta Santa Lucia and the Washouse
Porta Santa Lucia,risalente al XIII secolo, era uno degli accessi secondari di Belforte del Chienti, posta sul lato sud-occidentale della cinta muraria. Un tempo fondamentale per la difesa del borgo e per i collegamenti con le campagne circostanti, conserva ancora oggi il fascino delle architetture medievali in pietra. Poco distante si trova l’antico lavatoio, che per secoli fu luogo di incontro e socialità per le donne del paese, impegnate nel bucato e nella vita comunitaria. Insieme rappresentano due tappe significative della storia locale, tra vita quotidiana e funzione difensiva, che restituiscono un’immagine autentica del passato del borgo.
