Church of San Sebastiano
The Church of San Sebastiano is one of Belforte del Chienti’s historic religious buildings. Once dedicated to the martyred saint and much loved by the local people, it originally housed a 16th-century polychrome wooden statue of Saint Sebastian, now kept in the Church of Sant’Eustachio. Today the church is deconsecrated and serves as the home of MIDAC – the International Dynamic Museum of Contemporary Art, where cultural events and exhibitions are held, maintaining its connection with the community. With its simple, intimate architecture, it remains a significant testimony to the town’s faith and history.
